Governor Deal Proclaims March as Procurement Month in Georgia

Gov. Nathan Deal declares March as Procurement Month in Georgia

On Thursday, March 1,  the Georgia Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Procurement (NIGP), members of DOAS leadership and State of Georgia procurement staff, were presented a Proclamation from Governor Nathan Deal at the Capitol, declaring March as 2018 Procurement Month.

Throughout the month, DOAS and professional purchasing associations like the Georgia Chapter of NIGP and the Government Procurement Association of Georgia (GPAG) will engage in efforts to inform the public about the important role played by the purchasing professionals in business, industry, and government.

On April 24 – 26, 2018, DOAS will host the 2nd Annual Georgia Procurement Conference (GPC 2018) and Supplier Expo. GPC is the state’s premier event for public procurement professionals and supplier partners. GPC 2018 will provide excellent opportunities to foster business partnerships between state government entities, suppliers and small businesses.
