March is Purchasing Month in Georgia

Governor Brian P. Kemp proclaimed March as Purchasing Month in Georgia. It is a time set-aside to recognize those in the procurement and materials management professions who play a significant role in driving efficiency and effectiveness in both the public and private sectors by balancing and negotiating time, sourcing and the pricing of goods and services.

In attendance at a proclamation presentation at the State Capitol were Governor Kemp, Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) Commissioner Alex Atwood, members of DOAS executive team and State Purchasing Division, and representatives from the Georgia Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Procurement (NIGP) and Government Procurement Association of Georgia (GPAG).
