If you’re a State Health Benefit Plan member, you could save more than $2,000 in premiums and add dental and vision coverage for your children up to age 19 when you enroll your children in PeachCare for Kids.® Through December 31, 2012, the six-month waiting period has been waived.

As a state employee, teacher, school system employee or retiree, you can enroll your children in PeachCare for Kids. Eligibility is based on citizenship, family income and identity.

PeachCare for Kids provides:

  • Low-cost, comprehensive and quality health care coverage for children under age 19
  • Regular check-ups and immunizations, sick child doctor visits, prescriptions, vision care, dental care, hospitalization, mental health, substance abuse services and more
  • Monthly premiums of $10 to $35 for one child or $70 total for two or more children (ages 6 through 18)
  • No premiums for children under age 6
  • No deductibles and low or no co-pays

PeachCare for Kids enrollment:

  • Eligibility is based on citizenship, identity and household income (family of three up to $44,868; family of four up to $54,180).
  • The six-month waiting period is waived through December 31, 2012, for children of State Health Benefit Plan members.
