Judicial Retirement Plan

The Georgia Judicial Retirement Plan was created by legislation and made effective July 1, 1998. This Plan is for current and future members/retirees of the Superior Court Judges Retirement System, the District Attorney's Retirement System, and the Trial Judges and Solicitors Retirement Fund (referred to as "predecessor systems") and certain employees of the Attorney General/ Legislative Counsel.

The Georgia Judicial Retirement Plan is administered by the Board of Trustees of the Employees' Retirement System and three additional members appointed by the Governor — each of whom shall be either a superior court judge, a state court judge, a district attorney, a state court solicitor-general, or a juvenile court judge.
