The Department of Public Health (DPH) offers a convenient and affordable work-site wellness program that includes various physical activity components to help you customize your workouts, accomplish your fitness goals, and have fun!
From free weights to cardio and toning equipment, group fitness, personal training and so much more, you’ll find everything you need at the Capitol Hill Fitness Center, located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the 2 Peachtree Building in downtown Atlanta, to start your fitness journey and maintain a healthier lifestyle.
The fitness center is open to all State of Georgia employees and its contractors on Capitol Hill. After hours parking is available at the 90 Central Lot on Peachtree Street.
The Fitness Center is fully staffed by fitness professionals who hold a four-year degree in an Exercise Science related field and hold a current nationally accredited personal training and CPR/AED certification. We strive to provide an environment that allows our members and guests to focus on their own personal fitness and wellness.
The CHFC offers over 6,500 square feet of fitness space to include:
- Functional Fitness Training Space
- Free Weights and Cable Rack
- Selectorized Weight Machines
- Treadmills, Ellipticals, Bicycles, and Rower
- Personal Training for Individuals or Groups of up to 4 people
- Free Equipment Orientations upon Sign-up
- Free Wi-Fi
- Free Baseline Screenings
- Locker Rooms with Shower Facilities and Locker Rental
- Fitness Challenges, Incentive programs & more
Group Exercise
Capitol Hill Fitness Center offers a variety of group exercise classes for all levels. Our group exercise room is located on the 2nd floor of the 2 Peachtree building. Classes include Body Flex, Step, Yoga, Cycle, Bootcamp, and more! Group exercise schedules vary monthly. All classes are included in your monthly membership cost.
All group exercise instructors hold a current group exercise certification and CPR/AED certification through the American Heart Association.

Personal Training
Nationally accredited personal trainers provide our members and guests with an option for personalized fitness programming. Our personal training team will design a program based upon your individual fitness needs and goals. Your initial session will include a comprehensive fitness assessment that will provide us with feedback on your personal fitness levels. Your trainer will then assist you in developing the fittest you! Personal Training is by appointment only.
