Spread the Word! “Good News for Georgians with Disabilities”

Prior to the passage of the federal Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act in 2014, individuals with disabilities were not allowed to “save” or accumulate any more than $2,000 without losing benefits. The Georgia ABLE Plan (STABLE) now allows eligible individuals with disabilities to save and invest up to $15,000 per year without losing benefits such as Medicaid or SSI. Contributions can be made by account owners, family, and friends, and the money can be withdrawn at any time to pay for disability-related expenses.
