Veterans Day Proclamation Signing and Ceremony at the State Capitol

On Tuesday, November 5, Governor Brian P. Kemp signed the Annual Veterans Day Proclamation, recognizing November 11, 2019 as Veterans Day in Georgia and commemorate its 65th holiday anniversary.

Commissioner Mike Roby of the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and the State Veterans Service Board, hosted the Proclamation Signing Ceremony in the North Wing of the State Capitol Building. The event was open to the public, including Veterans, dependents, family members and friends.

The Proclamation Signing Ceremony is a part of a long-standing tradition that formally recognizes November 11th as Veterans Day in Georgia. The proclamation serves to pay homage to all Veterans and formally recognizes their contributions to protecting their country.
