Employees at the Georgia Dept. of Driver Services (DDS) are celebrating a number of recent accolades.

The Georgia Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) has named DDS Commissioner Gregory C. Dozier “Public Administrator of the Year” for 2012.

The organization selects one leader each year who has made a significant, positive impact on enhancing public administration in the state.

“Receiving this recognition is in large part due to the hard work and dedication of the team at DDS,” said Commissioner Dozier – who isn’t the only one crediting his employees.

On the heels of naming DDS employee Debra Stowe “Examiner of the Year,” the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) has honored Team DDS with 11 nominations for its annual Customer Service Excellence Award Program.

AAMVA will announce the winners this summer. DDS has won four out of the past five years at the international level for customer service efforts.

“I am very proud that DDS continues to have our customers and business partners recognize our customer service achievements,” said Commissioner Dozier.

“I believe our core agency values of communication, accountability, respect and ethics have helped label DDS as an agency that cares about customer service.”
