Partnering for Procurement at the 2018 Georgia Procurement Conference

The GPC 2018 Staff at the Conference Wrap-Up.

The Georgia Procurement Conference 2017 was Georgia’s premiere event that brought together government supply chain and procurement professionals to provide learning and networking opportunities within the state purchasing community. As mentioned in Forbes, the first annual Georgia Procurement Conference was a major stepping stone towards Governor Nathan Deal’s vision for the State of Georgia “to become the Silicon Valley of the South.”

Last week, the second annual Georgia Procurement Conference 2018 was held at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. The 3-day event ran from April 24-26, and exceeded excellence with an impactful opening session from keynote speaker, Paul Vitale of Vitale Communications, Inc., along with a variety of training sessions.

This year, GPC 2018 placed emphasis on the importance of strengthening professional relationships with its theme, “Partnering for Procurement.”

The Supplier Expo served as a perfect platform for Georgia supplier partners such as NASPO Value Point, Gordian, and Ad Astra, Inc. to meet face-to-face with conference attendees and foster business partnerships.

Georgia Department of Administrative Services employees worked diligently to make GPC 2018 unforgettable. They exceeded excellence with their provided assistance to attendees and supplier partners. Employees from various state agencies such as Board of Regents, DCH, SAO, and more led incredible training sessions. Thanks to the outstanding and dedicated service of  State of Georgia employees, the Georgia Procurement Conference was a true success.
