Goodwill Industries of North Georgia recently named Robert Nibbs as its 2012 Ambassador of the Year. Robert is a community outreach coordinator for the Georgia Department of Human Services’ Division of Child Support Services (DCSS).

DCSS and Goodwill of North Georgia are the lead partners for Good Transitions, a project funded by the U.S. Department of Labor to help low-income non-custodial parents and ex-offenders find jobs. Robert is the lead coordinator from DCSS on the project.

“After the first in person meeting, it was clear that Robert could command a room with his tall frame, candid nature and open smile,” said Jenny Taylor, senior director at Goodwill of North Georgia.

“The match between his agency, the Division of Child Support Services, and Goodwill has been what many describe as a strong marriage. Robert looks for ways for the partnership to be successful and that also means not being afraid to bring up controversy, address problems and be brutally honest.  But that is how a marriage works best, shared goals, shared vision, shared outcomes, with transparency, honesty and integrity.”
