The Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) kicked off the 2016 State Charitable Contributions Program (SCCP) with a breakfast at the Georgia Freight Depot on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
The breakfast served as a start for the annual SCCP Campaign, a program that provides an easy and convenient way to make an immediate and ongoing difference in local charities. Governor Nathan Deal, chairman of the 2016-17 Campaign, welcomed more than 200 agency heads, college presidents and campaign coordinators and spoke about the importance of giving back and how beneficial the program can be for charities in need.
“We can all be proud of the positive impact our contributions are making in Georgian communities and in the lives of those in need,” said Governor Deal. The 2016-17 Campaign will run from September 1 until November 15.
