Congratulations goes out to Steve Fanczi, Deputy Executive Director of the Georgia Building Authority, for being awarded the 2017 President’s Award from the Parking Association of Georgia.  Steve’s leadership with the Georgia Building Authority and his contribution to the Parking Industry helped established high customer standards, a team-oriented workplace and created innovative parking solutions for parking professionals throughout the state. Steve created a reporting mechanism called G-stat which is a compilation of baseline data and a methodology used to create evaluation metrics that allows employees and customers to rate staff and/or service. All of this data is compiled and compared to industry standards to create an overall GBA scorecard.  As a result of customer satisfaction, parking has risen from 72% to 91% in 2016.

Under Steve’s leadership, GBA has won two Building Owners Office Building of the Year Awards(TOBY) for the design and construction of office buildings on Capitol Hill; and won two Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) awards. GBA has also been recognized during 2013 -2016 for three Awards of Excellence by the International Parking Institute for the innovation of Liberty Plaza, design of South Deck and the Restoration and Rehabilitation of 90 Central Parking Deck. Steve embodies all the traits of a great leader. You do not just feel like you work for him, but rather with him.
