On March 17, 2017, Governor Deal announced the appointment of Christopher Nunn as the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) effective April 1. Commissioner Nunn has served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) since September 2015. Before joining state government, Nunn ran a mid-sized, Atlanta-based professional services firm and spent many years as a management consultant focused on strategic planning, leadership development and process improvement. His leadership at the DCA was instrumental in a variety of initiatives including team development and program sustainability.
Commissioner Nunn earned his bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a master’s degree from the University of St. Andrews. He is a native of Perry Georgia and currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Nancy and their two children.
