Give the Gift of Life! Red Cross Blood Drive

More than 15,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with cancer each year. Each day, approximately 40 families will hear the words “your child has cancer.”

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the American Red Cross encourages all eligible donors of all blood types to give blood to support children battling cancer, patients with sickle cell disease and others facing serious illnesses.

During chemotherapy, surgery or other complications, childhood cancer patients may need blood transfusions as a consistent part of their treatment.
