State Agencies go “All In” for SCCP

Last week, the Georgia Department of Administrative Services kicked off the 2015 State Charitable Contributions Program (SCCP) with a breakfast at the Governor’s Mansion.

The breakfast served as a start for the annual SCCP Campaign, a program that provides an easy and convenient way to make an immediate and ongoing difference in local charities. First Lady Sandra Deal welcomed more than 100 agency heads, college presidents and campaign coordinators into her home to talk about the importance of giving back and how beneficial the program can be for charities in need.

“This is what it’s all about. With so much sad news and media, we have to recognize the good. We have to recognize the people that do a lot in our community,” said Mrs. Deal.

The 2014-15 Campaign will run from September 1 until October 31, 2014 with Commissioner Gretchen Corbin of the Department of Community Affairs serving as the honorary chair.

During the breakfast, Commissioner Corbin challenged all of Georgia’s state agencies to be “All In” with SCCP. To help show which charity you’re supporting, download the “All In” sign, write in the charity you are supporting and tweet or post a photo of you holding the sign. Use the campaign hashtags #GAgovALLin and #GASCCP and your post could be featured on the campaign’s website,

Together, Commissioner Sid Johnson of the Department of Administrative Services and Commissioner Corbin set the goals for the 2015 Annual Campaign at $1.5 million and an increase in participation by 33%. With more than 1,300 charitable organizations, our employees can find a charity close to their hearts and give back. If every employee gave just one dollar a month, that campaign goal would be met.

So, how will you give back?
