This month’s featured retiree is Lyn Douglas Pardue, Executive Director of GFSTC (Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council) who retired July 1 with 26 years and three months of service to the state of Georgia. This month’s featured retire is Clareon Shirling, who retired from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety on on April 30, 2014 after 30 years of dedicated service to the Department and the state of Georgia! She started her employment with GOHS on September 2, 2003. For more than 10 years, Clareon served as the Administrative Assistant to the Planning and Programs Division of GOHS, and she assisted in the development and implementation of GOHS’ first online grant management system, eGOHS. Clareon’s plans for retirement include camping and traveling the country with her husband, Rex.

Clayton Carter is this month’s featured retiree! Clayton is retiring from the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Office of Transportation Data after 28 years of service to the State. Clayton is retiring on March 28 and looking forward to hiking the Appalachian Trail.
