Summertime Walking Wednesdays

Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park – Reidsville, GA
Get back in shape all summer by walking with us in the park. There are two walks each Wednesday starting the first Wednesday in May and continuing until the last Wednesday in September. Sign in at the park office and win prizes for your efforts. Some walks may be guided with the ranger; others may be self-paced for your own fun. $5 parking. 912-557-7744.

Archery 101

Volunteer to Work on the Pine Mountain Trail

Meet PMT Association leaders at the Park Office Parking Lot on Highway 190. Work day may be cancelled if bad weather. Check the PMT Facebook page. Bring snack/lunch and water, and gloves. Participants will learn movements to improve balance, flexibility, and strength while reducing stress and having fun during this gentle, slow moving exercise class. Bluebirds and Butterflies

Help us monitor our bluebird nest boxes and check on our butterfly garden. There is a short walk to five bluebird boxes and our demonstration pollinator garden. Meet the Farm Animals

General Coffee State Park – Nicholls, GA
Give us a helping hand in the morning and feed the animals at the farm, collect eggs, and get to goof off with our donkey’s. We will start by feeding our farm animals (sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, horse, donkeys, and a mule). Movie Night at Fort Yargo

Escape the Gold Museum: Hung Jury

The year is 1855 and Lumpkin County court is in session. After a single case resulted in three hung juries, Judge Irwin has decided to lock you and your fellow jurors in the jury room until a unanimous verdict is decided. Photographer’s Morning Out
