Big news that we missed posting!

Big news that we missed posting: Mr. Steve Wrigley was named 13th chancellor of the University System of Georgia by the Board of Regents, beginning January 1, 2017. Chancellor Wrigley has been in state government for many years in several key positions. He was Governor Zell Miller’s chief of staff and worked on the creation of the state lottery and Georgia’s successful HOPE scholarship program.  He served as the senior vice president for external affairs as well as the vice president for government relations for the University of Georgia.  His last position was as the Director of the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

Wrigley earned his undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and his doctorate in history from Northwestern University.  He and his wife Lynne, have two children and reside in Atlanta and Oconee County.
