In Observance of Memorial Day, State Offices will be Closed Monday, May 27, 2019

For over 150 years, our nation has observed the Memorial Day holiday. It is a somber day of remembrance — to remember that this country was founded and kept secure by the blood of patriots.

It is a time of reflection; set aside for our nation to come together as one to recognize the cost of freedom and remember the many men and women who have heeded the call to stand the ramparts and defend all that we hold dear: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We honor those members of our military for their sacrifice, we cherish their families, and we remember why they paid that ultimate price.
