Chestnuts on an Open Fire & Tall Tales

Cozy on up to the Campfire and Roast Chestnuts & Marshmallows while learning of the plight of the American Chestnut. Warning tall tales are encouraged around the campfire! We will meetup at the Fire Ring by the Elijah Clark Cabin. $5 parking. 706-359-3458.
Mini-Golf Tournament

Traveling Exhibit: Georgia Journeys

Roosevelt’s Little White House Historic Site – Warm Springs, GA
Georgia Journeys traces the stories of veterans, home front workers, and Holocaust survivors who have a strong connection to Georgia. Drawing on testimony obtained through the Museum of History and Holocaust Education’s Legacy Series oral history project, this hands-on, multimedia exhibition follows the experiences of twelve individuals whose lives intersected in Georgia, but whose journeys took them across the world. $7-$12. 706-655-5870.

Late Winter/Early Spring Wildflower Hike

Sweetwater Creek State Park – Lithia Springs, GA
This moderately strenuous, two mile hike along the white trail and beyond will take us through a variety of lovely habitats to view the earliest of our spring wildflowers, the beloved “ephemerals”. Registration recommended. Meet at the Visitor’s Center. $6 plus $5 parking. 770-732-5871.
Home School Wednesday Kickoff Event
