Breast Cancer Awareness Month runs October 1-31st!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Preventive measures such as exercising and healthy eating can lower the risk of breast cancer. However, it is recommended that women, ages 45 to 54 get mammograms every year. Georgia Department of Public Health’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program  aims to reduce the impact of these cancers in our communities by providing breast and cervical cancer screening, diagnostic services and referral to treatment as medically indicated to uninsured women residing in Georgia.  For more information, visit: https://dph.georgia.gov/BCCP
