State Employee Recognition Week is May 5-11

Are you ready? Start planning now for State Employee Recognition Week, May 5-11, and State Employee Appreciation Day, May 8th.

During this week of employee recognition, thousands of dedicated individuals who make up the State’s workforce are honored for their dedication and daily efforts to making our communities thrive.

Agencies across the state are planning activities to show appreciation to their employees for their contributions to public service and to recognize their achievements in the workplace and in our communities.

State Employee Recognition week is both a statewide and nationwide initiative. Throughout the country, mayors, governors, agency leaders, communities and public service organizations participate in Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) by issuing proclamations; hosting award ceremonies and special tribute events; and delivering messages about the value of public service.
