The Department of Driver Services (DDS) wants to remind veterans that they offer free licensing and identification card options. Get your free license with the proper documentation through a process many Georgia veterans are not taking advantage of.
To be eligible, veterans must present their separation papers to any field office of the Department of Veterans Service for review and certification. Documentation includes the actual wartime service, circumstances of honorable discharge and proof of Georgia residency. Activation for training purposes does not qualify an individual for a Georgia Veteran’s License.
