Coastal Kids Camp

Crooked River State Park – St. Marys, GA
Spend Spring Break with us outdoors in this activity packed park-hopping 3-day extravaganza of pure fun. Kids will be transported to a different park each day and our activities will include: fishing, hiking, boating, birding, kayaking, fun with forts, archery and more. Space Limited. Tiny Tot Tuesdays
Tuesday, Apr 3, 2018 2 PM to 3 PM
Fort Mountain State Park – Chatsworth, GA
This Environmental Education event is geared towards children ages 3 to 6. It will involve the child and a guardian. We will cover a different topic each week. Most of the activities come from the Growing Up Wild Environmental Education Curriculum from the creators of Project WILD. $3 plus $5 parking. 706-422-1932.

Square Dance

Cloudland Canyon State Park – Rising Fawn, GA
Join us at the Group Shelter for a night of square dancing. Whether you are experience or new to square dancing, you’re sure to have a great time. Sponsored by Friends of Cloudland Canyon. Equestrian Poker Ride & Facilities benefit ride
Saturday, Apr 7, 2018 8 AM to 7:30 PM
A.H. Stephens State Park – Crawfordville, GA
Come out and join a benefit ride that helps support our wonderful equestrian facilities. We will start the day out by having a poker ride, followed by lunch, door prize giveaways, and a bingo ride in the afternoon. That evening we will have a spaghetti dinner followed by a movie on the lawn. All participants must pre-register by 3/30/18. $30 plus $5 parking. 404-316-7956.

Eye Spy 20 Camera Scavenger Hunt

Food Trucks at Sweetwater Creek State Park

Edible Plant Hike

Fort McAllister State Park – Richmond Hill, GA
Learn helpful tricks to identifying edible wild plants in Georgia! Enjoy a beautiful and scenic hike with our park naturalist. We’ll be searching for local plants that have medicinal properties, some used for tea, seasonings, and even ones that could be poisonous! Faith and Courage – US Military Chaplains Traveling Exhibit: “Faith and Courage”, This exhibit of Chaplain’s stories include text and photographs from World War I, World War II, The Korean War, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. $7-$12. 706-655-5870.

Traveling Exhibit: Georgia Journeys

Party For The Planet

F.D. Roosevelt State Park – Pine Mountain, GA
Celebrate Earth Day with us. Picnic early atop the mountain then meet us at the party. Join the DJ and rangers on the dance floor for 60’s-current dance music. Bring roasting stick for marshmallows. Little River Run 5K
