Employee Self-Service Enhancements Create Efficiencies in Employee Data Management

The State Accounting Office (SAO) and Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) are partnering to improve communication about how state employees’ TeamWorks Employee Self-Service contact information is used and shared with other State-affiliated service providers and enterprise systems, such as payroll, health and flexible benefits, learning management and recruiting. Sharing information across state enterprise systems reduces the rate of errors and eliminates the redundancy of entering the same information in multiple places, which drives efficiency.

How your personal contact information is used

Your email and phone number are ways in which the State of Georgia may contact you regarding work-related matters. Be assured that electronic employee data is securely stored, and safeguards are in place to protect your personal information. We will not, under any circumstances, share or divulge your contact information with any non-State-affiliated individual or organization.

How to confirm or update your contact information

Many State-affiliated systems use the email address and phone number marked as “preferred” in Employee Self-Service (ESS) to distribute employee communications and notifications. To ensure that you receive work-related information that may affect you, log in to “My Account Employee Self-Service” and “Personal information Summary.”  Once there, you can confirm the accuracy of your email addresses and phone numbers, modify your information, choose your “Preferred” method for receiving communications, and then click the “Save” button to submit your changes.
